Leucadia Buying AT&T? No Bet!

Since we're located in San Diego, we've actually heard the word Leucadia before, as it happens to be the name of a funky little beach town in the northern part of the county. But today we read that a buyout firm by the name of Leucadia National is rumored to be one of the potential acquirers of AT&T! We're talking Ma Bell, the hallmark of America's technical prowess and ingenuity, the nest egg of our grandmothers' grandmothers and we're supposed to believe some outfit called Leucadia may be buying it?! Don't bet on that one, but don't bet on it being a Baby Bell either.
