BT Acquires Infonet

Another IXC falls as BT snaps up Infonet. This could mark the beginning of the end for the IXCs. Users should expect to see more of this (IXCs merging and being acquired) over the next 12 months. We do not foresee bankruptcy as a way out for the IXCs, as their assets have real value to the big incumbents both here and abroad.
