ProfitLine Partners with iSYS to Secure $38 million Transportation Security Administration Contract
Thursday, March 23, 2006
ProfitLine today announced that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has awarded its multi-million dollar wireless services and equipment management contract to iSYS, LLC, ProfitLine's certified strategic sales partner. Through its partnership with iSYS, ProfitLine will help manage over 8000 wireless devices on an outsourced basis for TSA with an estimated contract valued at $38 million.
Under the new contract terms, the iSYS/ProfitLine Team will manage cellular and Blackberry devices for TSA sites, TSA headquarters, and at more than 400 domestic airports. After a thorough competitive review of available options and the receipt of multiple bids, the TSA chose the iSYS/ProfitLine team for outsourced wireless telecom management.
"Along with our other clients in the government sector, such as the Department of Homeland Security, the TSA recognizes that telecom is not their core competency, and therefore outsourcing telecom lifecycle management to the iSYS/ProfitLine team will save them time and money," said Rick Valencia, chief executive officer of ProfitLine. "We've gained our expertise from more than a decade of working with large companies whose locations are geographically dispersed and who have complicated telecom situations. We are pleased to apply that knowledge and efficiency to help our government."
iSYS coordinated the introduction of ProfitLine to TSA. iSYS has numerous government clients, and expects strong growth in the government sector for telecom expense management because of the government's need to drive efficiency and reduce telecom costs. "Government agencies such as the TSA are quickly realizing they can significantly benefit from outsourcing telecom expense management to not only save time and money, but focus their resources on more critical matters," said Jin Kang, President of iSYS. "It's widely known that government entities are always encouraged to cut costs, and we predict that services like ProfitLine's that provide a positive return on investment, will become increasingly popular."
