ProfitLine Names Former META Analyst Don Carros Director of Contract Management
Monday, May 24, 2004 — ProfitLine, the premier provider of telecom expense management services, has named former META Group analyst Don Carros director of contract management.
In this role, Carros will serve as senior counsel in many of the special projects ProfitLine conducts on behalf of its large enterprise clients, such as request-for-proposal preparation, negotiation of telecom contracts, cellular optimization, physical circuit inventories, network migration, and annual benchmarking services.
Carros has 20 years of experience in every aspect of telecommunication management. He has conducted myriad domestic and international carrier negotiations ranging in size from $1million to $100 million for all types of telecom services, including voice, data, wireline, fixed wireless, cellular; and bundled agreements that comprise all of the above. He is an expert in communications network design, network readiness assessment, service benchmarking, and network migration. Recognized as a knowledge-leader in emerging technologies, such as VoIP, Carros is also well known for his expertise in state, federal and international regulatory affairs as they relate to telecom.
Most recently, Carros served as a senior research analyst at META Group, where he conducted information technology research and provided advisory services and strategic consulting to META clients. Before that, Carros served as a senior consultant at MCI Systemhouse (now EDS).
