ProfitLine's Founder and CEO, Rick Valencia, Receives Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award


Thursday, June 19, 2003 — ProfitLine Inc., the premier provider of telecom administrative outsourcing, is pleased to announce that its CEO, president and founder, Rick Valencia, has been honored with the 2003 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Valencia was named the top Telecommunications Entrepreneur in the San Diego Region.

Now in its 17th year, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award is designed to honor outstanding entrepreneurs who have demonstrated excellence in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

All award winners become lifetime members of the Entrepreneur of the Year Hall of Fame, part of the Entrepreneur of the Year Academy. San Diego's winners are eligible to participate in Ernst & Young's National Entrepreneur of the Year awards program, which culminates in an awards gala in Palm Springs on November 20, 2003. Previous National Entrepreneur of the Year award winners have included well-known business leaders such as Michael Dell of Dell Computer Corporation, Jim McCann of 1-800-Flowers.com, Steve Case of America Online, Howard Schultz of Starbuck Coffee, and Scott Kriens of Juniper Networks.
