ProfitLine, the leading provider of outsourced telecom expense management (TEM) and managed mobility solutions was awarded Telecom Expense Management Project of the Year at the TEM 2009 conference in Orlando, Florida on February 17. AOTMP, the leading provider of information solutions for managing telecom and IT environments, produces the annual conference and developed the Industry Excellence Awards to recognize enterprises and industry suppliers committed to telecom and IT management best practices.
ProfitLine was selected the winner from five finalists for the Project of the Year award. The first place award was for the results ProfitLine achieved working with the United States Postal Service on their managed mobility initiative. ProfitLine Founder and Chairman of the Board, Rick Valencia and Larry Wills, Manager of Telecom Services at the United States Postal Service presented the submitted project during a "People's Choice Presentation" at the conference on February 16.
Conference attendees cast their vote during the People's Choice Presentation for the project they felt achieved the most exceptional results and had the performance metrics to back the claim. The conference attendees that judged the project were comprised of business professionals from a range of industries who represent over $1 billion in annual enterprise telecom spend, and one-third of the companies were Fortune 500 organizations. ProfitLine was announced the winner the following evening during an awards ceremony at the conference.
ProfitLine and United States Postal Service took the stage and jointly accepted the award. "It is a great honor to accept this award along with our partners at ProfitLine," said Wills. "The Postal Service is committed to IT solutions that deliver value to our employees and customers and it is rewarding to see our winning partnership with ProfitLine recognized in such a big way."
"We are very proud of the results we achieved with United States Postal Service," said Andreas Schenck, ProfitLine CEO. "Exceptional results like this are made possible through engaging and committed partnerships. Our client's goals become our goals. The Postal Service is a terrific example of an organization that continually challenges itself to improve processes. They have taken a very proactive and successful approach to managing their mobility environment and we are excited to support them in this endeavor. "
TEM Project of the Year was one of four award categories at TEM 2009. Awards were also presented to honor Executive Stewardship, Telecom Professional of the Year and Innovation of the year. "We were impressed with the caliber of projects we received as nominations, and thrilled to see so much support for our efforts to drive standardization and collaboration in the industry" said Tim Lybrook, AOTMP President and CEO. "We congratulate ProfitLine on being voted as 2009 Industry Excellence Awards Project of the Year by our conference attendees."
